On 6 December, Department member SFC Karl Whitby participated in a Family Readiness Fair at Seymour Johnson AFB. The event was organized by Stacey Pennington, Family Readiness Specialist. The successful event was held from 1300-1600 hours. For the Department, the event provided a recruiting opportunity and continued contact with Air Force Reserve units at Seymour Johnson AFB.

SFC Karl Whitby, on behalf of the Department, attended in the 567th Red Horse Squadron Family Day/Pre-Deployment Family Day at Seymour Johnson AFB. The event was organized by Stacey M. Pennington, Military and Family Readiness Program Manager. Forty-Eight unit members participated. The 567th Red Horse Squadron (Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair [RED HORSE] is one of many Reserve engineer units in the Air Force.

On 13 December 2025, the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony will be conducted at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC.
